When the Light at the End of the Tunnel is Another Train

My book is my faith journey through my daughter's battle with addiction and mental health issues. I share it because there are countless others who are on the same journey. Knowing you are not alone, is often our first step to getting help. I didn't get through this alone. We leaned on others, friends, professionals in the field, support groups and counsellors. A tornado came and ripped a path of destruction through our hearts and our home. We rebuilt and it came again over and over. Sometimes we saw it coming and sometimes we didn't.

If this sounds familiar to you, then you likely should read my book. It can be purchased online on Amazon and many other disbributors.

I've also had the priviledge of sharing my story publically on several occassions. I've been workshop speaker at a Bell Let's Talk event, guest on 100 Huntley Street, St. Leondard's Community Services,  Evangel Church (Brantford, Ontario), Bethel Church (Tillsonburg, Ontario), various women's conferences and Family Outreach events.

I'm not a dynamic, gifted speaker. I am a mom sharing her heart and journey with others. The impact is evident as people who are struggling with the same events feel maybe for the first time, that they are not alone.

I have met families of all kinds, broken, intact, healthy and unhealthy, believers and non-believers but all of our stories are similar.

"You look so normal" is what one mom said to me following my message. As if, this doesn't happen to people who look normal, but it does. Let's break the silence and heal together.

If you are interested in having me share my story, I can be reached through this website by email. If you just want to share your story with me, feel free to do so.
